Adolescent Psychotherapy

Carrickmacross Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling Centre provides a private and respectful, non-judgemental counselling service to teenagers and young adults between the ages of 13 to 25. The many stages of physical, psychological, social, emotional and intellectual development already make adolescence a challenging time. Anxiety, depression, school refusal, eating disorders and behavioural difficulties are some of the challenges that young people deal with. The impact and influence of the social media can complicate issues for young people and at times, to manage this professional support is beneficial. While I work individually with young people in relation to these and other difficulties, part of the work with adolescents includes supporting parents.

No matter how complex things seem to be, I always, when I meet an adolescent, have hope. Things change and difficulties resolve. Psychotherapy works.
